Review: The Body Shop Tea Tree skincare and BB cream

Review: The Body Shop Tea Tree skincare and BB cream

In this post I’m going review the Body Shop Tea Tree skincare line and give you a (hopefully helpful) analysis of how it affected my oily and spot prone skin.

The Body Shop is a staple of British beauty and despite my usual addiction to Liz Earle I have been testing this skincare.

First things first, look at this packaging! I love it, its so different, and also functional. I love that the cleaner is translucent, meaning you know exactly how much you have left!

Similarly, the bottles are all great quality and don’t feel like they will split any time soon, well done Body Shop!

Body Shop Flawless BB Cream – Shade 01

I’m not often a fan of BB creams. Back when they were all the rage in 2015 I didn’t even try them. The idea of what is essentially a moisturiser covering anything on my face was a no no. It  has taken me a long time to come around to the idea.

The original BB cream by the body shop is the only creme ive tried that I actually love, and so I had high hopes for this one too.

The Tea Tree smell isn’t over powering here, and goes again soon after application. The cream itself is smooth and thick and does provide quite a nice coverage, without oxidising.

The only downside that I can see is that if you are SUPER oily, you’re going to need to powder this a lot! Overall this one is a keeper!

Body Shop 3 in 1 Wash Scrub Mask

I looooove products that do more than one thing, this one does 3 so I really really love it.

The Tea Tree in this means that I provides a really lovely cleanse to the face, and as a wash and a scrub works really well. I would highly recommend using this with a muslin cloth. Combined these leave your skin super smooth.

As for it as a mask, I’m not sure that it will be replacing my Lush Oatifix anytime soon, but I would say that as a mask it does work perfectly well, and feels like you’re doing your skin a world of good.

Body Shop Skin Clearing Foaming Cleaner

This cleanser is a wonderful addition to my nighttime routine. In my opinion I feel that it helps to combat oily skin and leaves me feeling fresh and rejuvenated.

This cleaner works well on its own. However, I have been using it in conjunction with the 3-1 scrub and as a pair they’re a match made it heaven.

This cleaner also comes in a wonderful pump, making application easy and meaning that the bottle stays really lovely and clean.

The cheap price tag on this is also a huge bonus!
