The Body Shop Expert Facial Mask Review

The Body Shop Expert Facial Mask Review

No matter where you go at the moment, you can’t seem to escape the Body Shop Expert Facial Mask. So I decided to get my hands on them so I could give you a real review.

The two flavours I was kindly given were the Ethiopian Honey and British Rose masks. But there are 3 more types of mask in the Expert Facial Mask series.

So, do they work?

Well I think it might be best to look at each one individually.

First up,

Promising to ‘leave skin feeling supremely nourished, replenished and rested‘ as well as ‘cocoon your skin in moisture’ this mask really has a some bold claims to live up to! So, does it?

Well, yes and no. Some of you might remember my love affair with the Lush oatafix face mask. That still remains my moisturising holy grail. However, this honey mask leave you skin feeling softer and tighter. It feels so light on the skin and unlike any other mask I have tried. It work a treat on soothing redness and calming spots and for that I love it.

This mask similarly ‘leave skin replenished with moisture and visibly smooth with a youthful dewy appearance‘ for ‘skin that needs to be quenched and re-plumped with moisture to reveal its dewy glow again’. This really does do what it says on the tin, an amazing mask that makes your skin shine.

I would also say that this is one of the BEST smelling face masks that I have ever used.

So how do they do out of 10?

10/10 – a really east application that dries quickly but doesn’t leave your skin tight

15/10 – No seriously, these smelly so natural

7/10 – I’m not sure that these masks follow through on exactly what they claim, but they do moistures and calm your skin wonderfully.

7/10 – £16 for a fairly small pot does seem quite steep to me, although a little does go a long way with these!

Overall I am super impressed with these masks, as well as the amazing claims that they come with. I really love how natural and ethical they are!

The body shop also offers free shipping over £20 too woohoo (click here)

I really want to try them all now. Let me know your thoughts down below!
