Top 10 High street pieces for Autumn 2016
Finally. Bloody finally. It’s Autumn.
The best bits of Autumn are as follows:
1. You don’t need to fake tan your legs any longer.
2. You don’t need to dither about a jacket (it’t not going to be warm this evening, don’t kid yourself).
3. The necessity to shop.
Autumn means you’re going to need some new clothes, its inevitable. Despite my best efforts to avoid it, every year I find myself with a necessity for another jumper. So, here are my top picks of whats on the high street right now.
1. Zara Velvet Body
This body is amazing. It is also brilliantly bang on trend and pretty cheap. Dress it up with a pencil skirt, or down with a pair of skin tight black jeans.

2. Zara Fleece Jacket
This jacket is the ultimate transitional piece. The gorgeous cream outside and the warm furry inside make this one of the best jackets around, and the belt at the bottom stops it from too casual.

3. Topshop trainers
I love trainers, they’re the best. I also love animal print, because who doesn’t. One of the biggest trends this season is leopard print. Topshop is following this, with a selection of coats, tops and dresses all in a leopard theme. However, if like me you don’t think that is really your deal, then these trainers are a brilliant compromise. Wear them with a fairly plain jeans and tee to spice your look up.

4. Topshop Satin Joggers
Get on board with the satin trend in these super comfortable joggers. I love these trousers because of their versatility. Wear them with heels for a smart casual evening look, or with Stan Smiths to go to Sainsbury’s. They’re joggers, without the stigma.

5. River Island Jumper
Lord knows I do not need another jumper. But this one is lovely. I love the two colours together, and the pop of orange is perfect to brighten up any dull day. If you want to avoid wearing all black all the time this is a great way to inject just a hint of brightness. Pair with Topshop Mom jeans for a spot on look.

6. River Island Shoes
I can’t do stilettos, I’ve tried and I’ve failed and I have resigned myself to this face. Hence, why heels like these River Island ones appeal to me so much. They’re the perfect height, colour and price. The super cute embroidery on them really makes them a must- have.

7. Miss Selfridge Blouse
Every wardrobe needs a good blouse. It’s an essential. This one by Miss Selfridge has the most gorgeous billowing Victoriana sleeves, and is in a beautiful pastel colour (I love white, but sometimes colour is good too).
Tuck this into some jeans at the weekend and into cigarette trousers in the week!

8. ASOS Pleated Midi skirt
This skirt is the ultimate part skirt. It’s gold, and swishy and it looks amazing when you walk. It also works really well as a transitional piece. It can be work with a t-shirt, a jumper or with a going out top and fits with all with equal harmony. Personally, I would pair this with the River Island shoes and a cool loose fit tee.

9. ASOS Embroidered Bag
I love the detail on this bag. The embroidering and the hardware really make it look like it cost more than it does. Its the perfect size to take out and about, as well as on a night out.

10. Primark Pinny
I’m not a Primark gal, I will go there for tights and thats about it. But, this pinafore really caught my eye (as much as I may hate to admit that). It is also so blooming cheap that you can feel almost no guilt about buying it. Pair it with a simple white t-shirt underneath or even a blouse if you’re feeling fancy.
Get it here – £10.00 (I shit you not)
Hopefully these have give you some ideas about what is about at the moment, and what you must absolutely, positivity, NEED for Autumn.
Apologies to your bank balance,
Love Alice xo
