The Perfect Porridge
As the nights draw in, and the mornings are increasingly frosty, the more I need a yummy warm breakfast. The perfect porridge for me is one with lots of cinnamon, banana, and super creamy.
Here’s what you need:
- 1 cup of Milk (Whole milk is the best, but if not almond milk is really good)
- 1 cup of Jumbo Oats
- 1 cup of Water
- 1 Banana
- 1 Teaspoon of Raisins
- 1 Teaspoon of Cinnamon
- 1 Teaspoon of honey/maple syrup if desired
Heres what you’re going to need to do – hold tight this is SUPER hard:
- Put the Milk, oats and water in a saucepan
- Cook on a low heat for approximately 5 mins until cooked through
- Serve with toppings
Porridge is a super yummy, and super nutritious start to the day! It should keep you full till lunch. I’ve gone for banana, cinnamon and raisin.
You can also switch this up, get some Nutella, peanut butter or chocolate chip in there! Or, go fruity, add some frozen berries or some toasted seeds.
